C- Base 1 ½” Granular Sub-Base Material

Similar to A-Base, less stone in general, but bigger stone. Used under A Base as sub base and for sewer & water projects, or back fill around foundations.

B Gravel is made of stone and sand mix. Mainly it is used as a base material, then topped with A gavel or Limestone. It has good drainage.

Ideal for:
B gravel is perfect for gravel driveway restoration or installations, brick walkway or patio installations, hot tub/spa pad installations, above ground pool installations, steps and walkways and more.
Subbases serve a variety of purposes, including reducing the stress applied to the subgrade and providing drainage for the pavement structure. The granular subbase acts as a loadbearing layer, and strengthens the pavement structure directly below the pavement surface, providing drainage for the pavement structure on the lowest layer of the pavement system.
However, it is critical to note that the subbase layer will not compensate for a weak subgrade.
